Eric M. possesses extensive experience in risk management and compliance within the banking and financial sectors. Currently serving as EVP & Chief Risk Officer/Chief Compliance Officer at Gate City Bank since April 2020, Eric has held significant positions at prominent firms including Figure, Provenance Blockchain, and State Farm®, where responsibilities included overseeing risk and compliance operations, as well as participation in executive committees. Eric has a legal background, having started as an Associate Attorney and progressing through various risk management roles at institutions such as Lloyds Banking Group and Wells Fargo. With a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut School of Business, Eric combines legal expertise with financial acumen to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
