Urs Schwendinger

Urs Schwendinger is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Group CFO at gategroup since September 2003, Urs is responsible for the overall finance function and leads a dedicated global finance team to deliver stakeholder value. Previous roles at gategroup include Vice President of Group Controlling, CFO for North America, and CFO for Asia Pacific and the Middle East, where notable achievements include driving business turnarounds and successful integrations of acquisitions. Prior to gategroup, Urs held significant positions at Sunrise Communications AG, overseeing finance and treasury operations, and at UBS, gaining expertise in investment and private banking. Urs possesses advanced degrees in business administration, including an MBA focused on Supply Chain Management from ETH Zürich and a BBA in Accounting and Finance from HWV Zurich.
