David Bakker

David Bakker is a seasoned culinary professional currently serving as the Culinary Operations Manager for Eastern Canada at Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited since May 2019. Previously, David held the position of Executive Chef at Fairmont Tremblant and Deerhurst Resort, showcasing extensive experience in leadership roles within the culinary industry. David also served as Executive Chef and Culinary Director at Liaison College Toronto West/Humber College, where responsibilities included teaching culinary arts, curriculum development, catering functions, and marketing initiatives. Earlier in the career, David worked as Executive Sous Chef at both Toronto Westin Prince Hotel and Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville. David's educational background includes a degree in Culinary Management from George Brown College and a degree in Culinary Arts/Pastry Arts from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts-Ottawa.
