Rachel L. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Rachel started their career as a Member Services representative at YMCA in 2009 and later worked in Employment Counselling Services and Recruitment. In 2013, they joined Simon Fraser University as part of their Human Resources team. Rachel then transitioned to Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited, where they held various positions starting from a Human Resources Coordinator in 2014 and progressing to the role of Vice President, People and Culture in 2022. In between, they worked as a Consultant in 2018.

Rachel L. completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Human Resources at Okanagan College and The University of British Columbia from 2004 to 2008. Rachel also obtained various certifications related to their field, including Bias-Proof Your Organization, HR as an Ally, Indigenous Canada, and CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) membership.
