Cuautemoc Weber has a diverse work experience spanning across different industries. Cuautemoc is currently serving as the Co-founder and CEO of gateway.fm since October 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at Opera from 2013 to 2021, including VP of Mobile & Head of Crypto, VP Global Accounts & Distribution, and Global Accounts & Head of Content Partnerships.
Before their tenure at Opera, Cuautemoc worked at Alcatel-Lucent from 2001 to 2013. Cuautemoc held positions such as Business Development Management in the Telenor Group, Key Account Manager, Program Manager Nordic & Baltic, Technical Project Manager, and UMTS Senior System Integration Engineer.
Additionally, Cuautemoc gained experience at Alcatel as a Field Support Engineer SDH, primarily focusing on the Global Crossing Network in South Sweden & Denmark, as well as other SDH projects like KPN and Ebone.
Cuautemoc started their career at Verizon in 1999, serving as a Global Networks Technical Support Engineer until 2000.
Throughout their career, Cuautemoc Weber has developed a strong skill set in business development, account management, project management, and technical support.
Cuautemoc Weber has a Bachelor's degree in Surgical Technology from the National Business Academy of California, which they obtained between 1990 and 1992. Prior to that, they attended Los Angeles Valley College from 1992 to 1994, where they earned an Associate Degree (AA) in Political Science. Cuautemoc further pursued their education at North Carolina State University, majoring in Political Science and international relations from 1994 to 1996.
