Gary J. Rouleau

Gary J. Rouleau is the VP of Foundation & Organizational Advancement at Gateway Longview. Gary has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on arts and culture organizations. Gary has a proven track record of success in organizational management, fundraising, marketing, and event programming.

Gary's career in the nonprofit sector began in 1993, when they were hired as the Director of Marketing for the Riviera Theatre and Performing Arts Center. During their time at the Riviera, Gary was responsible for increasing event attendance, membership, and revenues. Gary also successfully implemented a new event programming and marketing campaign that transformed the Riviera into a regional destination with over 175 events and 100,000 visitors annually. In addition, Gary increased the Riviera's staff and operating budget from $900,000 to almost $2 million.

In 2013, Gary was named Co-Executive Director of the Riviera Theatre and Performing Arts Center. In this role, they were responsible for the overall management of the Riviera Theatre, including budgets, plans, policies, and procedures. Gary also worked with the Board of Directors to fulfill the Riviera's mission statement. Under Gary's leadership, the Riviera successfully completed multiple restoration and improvement projects, including the Theatre Marquee Restoration, Stage Lighting Improvements, Stage Rigging Improvements, Brick and Mortar Restoration, Digital Projection Project, and Site Remediation Project.

In 2016, Gary was named "Organization of the Year" by Leadership Niagara. Gary has also been featured in numerous publications, including The Buffalo News, The Niagara Gazette, and The Buffalo Business Journal.

Gary J. Rouleau received a BS in Business Administration and Management from Hilbert College.
