Gateway High School is committed to helping each student—regardless of learning style or previous academic achievement—gain the skills, habits and knowledge necessary for post-secondary success. Support & Substitute Teacher Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide support and/or coverage for classes around the school

  • Bring a mission-consistent, warm demander approach to each environment

  • Build relationships with students and staff

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to Gateway's mission, including a desire to work with a diverse student body

  • Desire to be part of building the larger school culture and community

  • Current California substitute or emergency substitute teaching permit, or eligibility to receive one (at least 90 college units)

  • Bilingual and BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

  • Salary range begins at $52,000 plus full benefits, 10-month schedule
