Karissa Chan

Karissa Chan has a diverse background in human resources, spanning multiple industries and roles. Karissa currently works as the Director of Human Resources at Gateway Group, where they have guided talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development. Prior to this, they worked as a Human Resources Consultant, assisting companies with various HR tasks such as employee relations, compliance, and recruitment. Karissa also served as the Global Human Resources Generalist (Head of HR) at CGTech, managing HR integration and compliance projects for acquisitions. Karissa has experience in the non-profit sector as well, having worked as the Director of Human Resources at Illumination Foundation, where they led the company's growth from 180 to 500+ multi-site employees and designed talent programs. Karissa also had concurrent roles as the Director of Human Resources at Illumination Foundation Medical Group, where they established HR operations for the startup medical group. Karissa gained early experience through internships at The Priority Center and Aflac, where they assisted with various HR tasks.

Karissa Chan's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from UC Irvine.
