Byju R. has a significant amount of work experience in the IT field. Byju started their career in 1994 as a System Analyst at GTN Textiles Limited. Byju then worked as a Sr. Systems Analyst and later as an Asst. Manager - IT before leaving the company in 1999. In 2000, they served as the Project Manager - IT at Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. The same year, they joined Gati Limited as a Sr. IT & Project Manager, where they were responsible for the Wide Area Network and project management of ERP implementation. Byju then worked at Thomson Electronics Limited as the Head of IT, where they had overall decision-making authority and managed a team of 22 personnel. In 2004, they joined Axiom Telecom as the Group Director - IT, where they directed the overall IT Department and played a key role in planning the IT budget and resources. Byju was also responsible for developing and executing strategies to align IT with organizational objectives. Byju held this position until 2019 when they joined GATI-KWE as an Associate Vice President.

Byju R. graduated from Savitribai Phule Pune University with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1993. Byju then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Management from ApTech in 1993-1994. In 2005-2007, they attended Bharathidasan Institute of Management Tiruchirapalli, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Information Technology. Lastly, in 2011-2013, Byju R. obtained another Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, this time specializing in Information Technology, from Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science.
