Srivatsan Srinivasan has worked in a variety of roles in the field of robotics and automation since 2016. In 2016, they were a Research and Development Intern at the Automation, Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory at CUICAR, where they managed lab procurement of hardware and software, lead and advised a team of graduate students, and operationalized two robots. In 2017, they were a Research Assistant at the same lab, where they were the Team Lead for Software Development for Mobile Robotics and Vehicle Software Development, as well as Manager for Graduate Interns. In 2018, they were an Dynamics and Controls Intern at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, where they developed and HIL simulated an autonomous vehicle path control algorithm and conducted CAN/Cyber security simulations and requirements. In 2019, they were a Lead Graduate Researcher at a Major Electronics Conglomerate (covered by NDA). Finally, in 2020 they were a Machine Learning Controls Intern at Blue River Technology, where they built high fidelity physics and graphical simulation instances for complex agricultural machinery and developed modern and reinforcement learning based control algorithms for agricultural machinery operation. Currently, Srivatsan is a Sr. Research Engineer, Controls at Gatik, a position they have held since 2022.
Srivatsan Srinivasan has completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from SRM University between 2011 and 2015. Srivatsan then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Automotive Engineering at Clemson University between 2015 and 2017. Currently, they are enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Automotive Engineering at Clemson University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
