Eric Goossens

Eric Goossens began their career in 1991 as a Process Engineer, Project Leader, and Research Chemist at DSM. In 2000, they moved to Johnson & Johnson as the Director of Production Operations, where they were responsible for drug manufacturing and ensuring GMP Compliance audits were successfully passed. In 2006, they joined Sekisui S-Lec BV as the Operations Manager and Manager of General Affairs. In this role, they were accountable for the Film Plant Operations and Supply Chain of Sekisui S-Lec Europe and successfully headed a profit improvement program. In 2011, they were appointed Site Director of Alken (BE) and Ittersbach (DE) at Datwyler Group. In this role, they were P&L accountable for three sites and had a Site Director reporting to him. In 2014, Eric Goossens became the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at uniQure, the first biotechnology company to get a gene therapy product commercially approved. In this role, they supervised CMC Development, Technology Transfer, and Commercial Operations in Amsterdam (NL) and Lexington (US). In 2021, Eric Goossens joined AaviGen GmbH as a Scientific Advisory Board member. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at GATT Technologies, where they are accountable for R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations including QC.

Eric Goossens has an extensive education history. Eric obtained a Master's Degree in Process Engineering from the University of Twente between 1997 and 1998. In 1988-1990, they completed a Master's Degree in Chemistry - Heterogeneous Catalysis from Utrecht University. In 2016, they completed a Leergang Board Potentials from the Nationaal Register and obtained a Commissaris nieuwe stijl certification. In 2017, they completed an Artificial Intelligence course from edX and in 2018 they completed a R Basics course from edX and a Data Analytics for Management Control course from Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 2021, they completed a Distributed Ledger Technology - Blockchain course from Dutch Blockchain Coalition. Eric also completed an International Executive Program from INSEAD in 2005 and a Breakthrough Program for Senior Executives (BPSE) from IMD in 2012.
