Alison Addy has extensive experience in external engagement and policy within the aviation sector, currently serving as the Head of External Engagement and Policy at Gatwick Airport since January 2009. In this role, Alison leads the airport’s external affairs strategy, focusing on relationship-building with stakeholders and influencing public policy, including initiatives related to the Northern Runway Project. Previous positions at Gatwick include Head of Community Engagement and Planning & Stakeholder Engagement Manager, as well as Development Communications Manager, where Alison oversaw significant investment communications. Alison's career began at BAA Gatwick in various roles from Development Manager to Senior Planner, and earlier experience includes a Planning Officer role at Bedfordshire County Council. Alison holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Town and Country Planning from the University of Westminster and a BA Hons in Geography from Swansea University.
