Mark Johnston

Mark Johnston currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at London Gatwick, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this, Mark held the Chief Operating Officer role at AGS Airports from November 2020 to April 2024, overseeing operations at Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Southampton airports. Mark's extensive experience in airport management includes serving as Managing Director and Operations Director at Glasgow Airport Limited from June 2015 to November 2020 and various leadership positions at BAA Glasgow Airport from February 2004 to June 2015, focusing on capital projects, engineering, security, and terminal operations. Earlier in Mark's career, roles included Market Development Engineer and Technical Marketing Engineer at Motorola Semiconductor from 2002 to 2005. Mark holds an MBA from the University of Glasgow and a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.
