Shelby Michaelis, PE, CFPS, is a seasoned professional in fire protection engineering with extensive experience at GBA since June 2016, holding roles such as Project Fire Protection Engineer, Design Fire Protection Engineer, and Staff Fire Protection Engineer. Prior experience includes a design internship at Continental Fire Sprinkler Company - Kiewit Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed analyzing AutoCAD plans, detailing drawings, surveying buildings, and collaborating on projects such as Genesis Hospital. Shelby also served as the Head Junior Varsity Softball Coach at Bettendorf High School from May 2011 to August 2014, focusing on coaching methods and practice planning for student-athletes. Shelby holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architectural Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, earned in 2016.
