Cary Zimmerman

Cary Zimmerman is an assistant general counsel at GBX Group. Cary has a wide range of experience in corporate, securities, private equity, and technology. Cary has also worked as a partner at Kohrman Jackson & Krantz LLP. Cary has helped many companies launch and grow their businesses profitably. For public companies, they have led contract strategies and negotiations, secured cost savings and competitive agreements, assisted in the achievement of multi-state and federal regulatory compliance, and prepared shareholder reports, proxies, and corporate governance documents. For high-growth start-ups and closely held companies, they have assisted founders, investors and other stakeholders with matters related to entity selection and formation, fundraising (angel and venture capital), securities compliance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Cary’s experience comes from a wide range of clients with unique needs, including: financial services companies, software companies, real estate developers, medical marijuana entrepreneurs, breweries, restaurants and bars, registered broker-dealers and investment advisors, healthcare service providers, manufacturers and high net worth individuals.

Cary Zimmerman graduated from West Geauga High School. Cary then attended Bucknell University for their undergraduate degree, where they majored in political science with a minor in French. After graduation, they attended the Wall Street Prep program to study financial modeling and valuation. Cary then attended the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, where they earned their master's degree in finance. Finally, they attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where they earned their Juris Doctor.
