Joe Wahl

Joe Wahl, SHRM-SCP, has extensive work experience in human resources and management roles. Joe served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at GCI General Communication, Inc., where they developed and executed the organization's HR strategy. Joe also oversaw the implementation of HR policies and programs, including talent management, performance management, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and training. Prior to their role as Chief HR Officer, Joe was the Vice President of Human Resources at GCI. Joe has also held various program director and management positions at GCI, where they managed teams and projects related to telecommunications infrastructure. Before joining GCI, Joe served in the United States Air Force, where they held senior roles in human resources management, information technology, and project management.

Joe Wahl, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse education history. In 1984, they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Information Management from the Community College of the Air Force. In 2004, they went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Human Resource Management from Saint Leo University. In 2014, Joe became a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Certified Practitioner after completing a program at Alaska Pacific University. Joe furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University in 2018. In addition to their academic achievements, Joe holds the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification, granted by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
