Todd was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the GCT group of companies in September 2008. As General Counsel, he is responsible for all legal issues at GCT and provides legal advice and support to senior management in the areas of commercial relationships, corporate matters, banking, insurance, risk management, human resources, real property transactions, and litigation management. As Corporate Secretary, Todd is accountable to the Board of Directors for corporate governance and compliance processes. Todd brings more than 20 years of senior legal experience and of adding value to both private and public businesses. He joined GCT following a career as legal counsel at a number of BC-based organizations, including seven years as Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary of the Imperial Parking Group, an industry leader in transportation infrastructure management in Canada and the US, and had overall responsibility for the provision of legal services and risk management for the corporate group. Prior to Imperial Parking, Todd was senior legal counsel at HSBC Bank Canada, providing a wide variety of legal advice in commercial lending, branch operations, litigation, and regulatory compliance. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia in 1988 and his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto in 1991. He was called to the bar in the Province of British Columbia in 1992.
