Etienne Céré

Etienne Céré has extensive work experience in various roles related to human resources and legal affairs. Etienne is currently the Vice President of HR Special Projects at GDI Business Services since 2019. Prior to that, they held positions as Vice President of Legal Affairs & Human Resources and Director of Legal Affairs & Human Resources at Modern Canada from 2019 to 2023. Before joining Modern Canada, Etienne worked as a Coach in HR, expert advisor, mediator, and attorney at Ctrl Alt RH starting in 2018. Etienne also has experience as a Supervisor of Human Resources at Parkland Fuel Corporation from 2015 to 2017 and as a Director of Human Resources at Marriott International from 2014 to 2015. Etienne has worked in labor relations roles at Target from 2012 to 2014 and Air Canada from 2008 to 2012. Etienne began their career as a Labour Lawyer at Dunton Rainville from 2005 to 2006 and worked as an Onsite Coordinator at Kelly Services from 2007 to 2008.

Etienne Céré obtained a LL.L. degree in Law from the University of Ottawa from 2001 to 2005. In 2018-2019, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at HEC Montréal. In terms of additional certifications, Etienne became a member of the Barreau du Québec in November 2005. In November 2014, they became an accredited mediator in small claims and a mediator in civil, commercial, and labor mediation through the Barreau du Québec. In May 2009, Etienne obtained the certification of Conseiller en Relations Industrielles Agréé (CRIA) from the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés.
