Julio Rovi

Julio provides his expertise in energy and environment to help businesses and governments understand, organize, prepare, and thrive in a future of climate mitigation and adaptation. He has contributed to climate, energy and sustainability programs for over 30 years in 18 countries in the Americas, and managed indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contracts for the US federal government. Combining engineering, policy and social sciences, Rovi can assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives, perform market research and use this information to perform or oversee mathematical, statistical and engineering calculations, cost calculations, analysis and synthesis to make decisions, write articles, submit reports and make actionable recommendations. He provides guidance as a subject matter expert (SME) in core technologies and practices that improve energy performance in buildings, particularly from the buyer perspective, ranging from engineering specifications, labeling, purchasing, outreach or supporting voluntary programs. Best suited for work that require skills in technology, finance, and management and require non-linear thinking. For example, in 2019 he was a principal author in the Sustainable Building Code for the Republic of Panama. Enjoys facilitating workshops, teaching and family time.
