Michelle Basar

Michelle Basar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michelle started their career in 2002 at Ernst & Young LLP, where they served as a Manager in Risk Advisory Services for five years. Michelle then moved on to Chrysler Financial as a Senior IT Auditor before joining O-I as a Senior IT Auditor and later as an IT Audit Manager and Corporate Audit Manager.

In 2012, Michelle joined GE Corporate as a Program Manager in IT Compliance Solutions. Michelle continued their career at GE Digital, where they held the roles of Director of Technical Product Management and Senior Team Leader for IT Compliance Solutions. During their time at GE Digital, Michelle successfully implemented the GE Software Store, improving user experience and visibility into GE's asset utilization and compliance position.

In 2019, Michelle joined GE Aerospace as the Senior Director of Risk & Compliance. Michelle later assumed the roles of VP of Cybersecurity Risk Management & Compliance and VP of Cyber Business Enablement & Operations, where they played a vital role in managing cybersecurity, audit, risk, and compliance functions within the company. Michelle'swork at GE Aerospace showcases their expertise in these areas.

Throughout their career, Michelle has demonstrated strong leadership skills, adaptability, and the ability to drive change. Michelle has a strong focus on improving user experience and ensuring compliance while maintaining business objectives.

Michelle Basar received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University in 2002. Michelle then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Professional Accounting with a specialization in Information Systems from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business, which they completed in 2002 as well.
