Naveen Prakash

Naveen Prakash is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in advanced engineering roles. Currently serving as an Advanced Lead Engineer at GE Aerospace since April 2024, Naveen specializes in stress analysis, fracture, and fatigue of ceramic matrix composite materials. Prior experience includes a tenure at Corning Incorporated where responsibilities encompassed FEA analysis of chemically strengthened glass and automation for modeling DOEs from February 2019 to April 2024. Naveen also held positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory, focusing on multiphysics modeling of metallic nuclear fuels and fundamental research on advanced materials. Academic contributions include roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, leading studies on electromechanical responses and developing advanced computational methods. Naveen holds a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
