Jorge Torruella

Jorge Torruella currently serves as Commercial Counsel at Plaid since April 2025 and is also a member of The L Suite (TechGC) since December 2024. Previously, Jorge held the position of Deputy General Counsel at Theorem from May 2022 to April 2025, acting as the legal lead in a credit fintech asset manager, providing comprehensive legal guidance on various operational aspects. Prior experience includes working as a Corporate Associate at Thompson Coburn LLP from April 2016 to May 2022, focusing on finance transactions, and as an Assistant Vice President at Citi from January 2015 to March 2016, where legal and compliance support was provided to multiple business units. Earlier roles included summer associate positions at UBS and Pietrantoni Mendez & Alvarez LLP and a digital marketing role at The New York Times. Jorge earned a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University.
