Thomas Brefeld

Thomas Brefeld, Jr. is an Embedded Software Development Engineer at GE Aerospace since January 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a CS Robotics Lab Assistant at Lawrence Technological University from November 2019 to November 2021, collaborating on the development of the university's Autonomous Vehicle (ACTor) and mentoring students in programming for RoboFest competitions. Thomas also interned at Ford Motor Company during the summer of 2021, leading the development of a data quality application for the Ford Lightning Launch and contributing to full-stack development projects. Additional roles include working as a Stagehand for the City of Dearborn from April 2017 to July 2021, assisting in production and equipment repairs, and completing a technology internship at Ford Motor Company in June-August 2020, where Thomas created a Python application and updated websites. Educationally, Thomas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Lawrence Technological University after studying at Henry Ford College.
