John Schlafer

John Schlafer is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Associate General Counsel for Regulatory Affairs and Industry Relations at GE Appliances, a Haier company, since September 2018, after previously holding the role of Senior Counsel for Regulatory Affairs. Prior to this, John Schlafer was a Partner in the Products Liability Practice at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP from August 2009 to August 2018. Earlier in career, John Schlafer contributed as a Corps Member with Teach For America, teaching fifth grade from June 2004 to June 2006. Academically, John Schlafer obtained a JD from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2009 and a BA in Political Science with a Business Minor from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004.
