Sohaib Azam P.Eng., PMP is a seasoned engineering professional with a robust background in high voltage direct current (HVDC) and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). Currently serving as a Business Development Manager and Tendering Manager at GE Vernova since October 2021, Sohaib leads the HVDC & FACTS Services Tendering Team for various projects across North America and globally. Prior experience includes roles as Lead Field Engineer at GE Vernova, Project Engineer at L.V. Controls Manufacturing, and Project Manager at Wood, where project management and engineering expertise was applied in sectors such as renewable generation and mining. Sohaib's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Manitoba, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, as well as foundational studies in Pre-Engineering and Science.
