Varsha P.

Varsha P. is an experienced AI Research Scientist at GE Vernova since October 2025, with a strong background in machine learning and signal processing. Prior to this role, Varsha worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from January 2022 to August 2025, collaborating with Professor William Sethares. Varsha's industry experience includes a Machine Learning Internship at John Deere, focusing on Radar-based obstacle identification for ADAS systems, and a tenure as a Machine Learning Engineer at XaiPient, concentrating on explainable AI applications. Earlier roles include Research Assistant positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Computer Science department and various internships at Qualcomm and Xilinx, where Varsha developed firmware solutions, conducted WLAN testing, and worked on System-on-Chip design. Varsha holds a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.
