Alvaro Martínez

Alvaro Martínez is an experienced executive with a robust background in business leadership, currently serving as CEO for Western Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America at GEA Group since June 2008. Martínez has held several leadership roles within the organization, including President/Managing Director of the Iberia cluster and Executive VP for the Region of Western Europe, Middle East & Africa. Prior to GEA Group, Martínez was Managing Director of GEA Process Engineering Spain and has extensive experience in project management and engineering from positions at GEA Tuchenhagen and Siemens. In addition, Martínez is a guest lecturer at multiple universities and contributes to governance discussions through memberships on supervisory boards. Martínez's educational accomplishments include advanced management and leadership programs at prestigious institutions such as IESE Business School and IMD, along with a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
