Ben Henrie has over two decades of experience in software development and management roles. Ben currently works as the VP of Engineering at Geeks and Nerds Corporation. Prior to this, they held senior program manager roles at SAIC and General Dynamics Information Technology. Ben has also worked as a software development manager for ProModel Corporation, SAIC, and Dynetics Technical Services. In addition, they have worked as a senior software engineer at CGI and a technical staff member at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Ben started their career as a research assistant and assistant network administrator at Brigham Young University. Throughout their career, they have led various teams and projects, resulting in successful completion of projects, increased funding and customer satisfaction, decreased development time, and implementation of new technologies.
Ben Henrie obtained their BS in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 1998 and then went on to complete their MS in the same field at the same university between 2000 and 2002. In addition to their formal education, Ben obtained various certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in November 2020, MCSA: Web Applications, MS in Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, UX Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional, and Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer - Web Applications, from various institutions and in different years.
