Adel Elmahdy

Adel Elmahdy is a highly experienced researcher with a focus on machine learning and data analytics. Currently serving as a Research Intern at Vectara since November 2022, Adel has also been a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota since September 2017, where notable contributions include developing a universal matrix completion algorithm for recommender systems and designing data shuffling algorithms for distributed machine learning. Previous roles include a Machine Learning Research Intern at Amplitude and a Research Intern at Microsoft, where research was concentrated on language processing and privacy concerns in AI. Adel holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota, as well as additional advanced degrees in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering from Nile University and Alexandria University, respectively.
