Derek Schmidtke

Derek Schmidtke is a seasoned regulatory affairs professional with extensive experience in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as the Regulatory Affairs Leader at GE HealthCare since April 2024, Derek provides strategic regulatory guidance for the Magnetic Resonance business. Prior to this role, Derek held positions at Scientific Protein Laboratories, LLC, including Regulatory Affairs Specialist and QA Compliance Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed regulatory documentation and compliance oversight. Experience also includes positions at Luminex Corporation, UAS Laboratories, Covance, and others, showcasing a diverse background in quality assurance, production supervision, and analytical chemistry. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
