Prathap Munirathinam

Prathap Munirathinam is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in AI/ML platforms across prominent tech companies. Currently serving as Sr Director of Engineering for the AIML Platform at GEICO since March 2024, Prathap previously held the position of Director of Engineering at PayPal, where responsibilities included developing AI/ML products addressing various use cases such as fraud and personalization. Prior roles include Engineering Lead for Global Intelligence platforms at Uber, where Prathap created the first Data/AIML platform for Uber Ads, and Sr Engineering Manager for Data/AIML at Amazon Lab126, focusing on consolidating AIML resources onto AWS. Early career experience includes managing teams and developing AIML applications at Apple and leading various data-focused projects at eBay and Teradata. Prathap holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina, executive education in Leadership and Strategy from Harvard University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Madras.
