David Echevarría López

David Echevarría López has a diverse work experience. David currently serves as the VP of Quality at Gelato since May 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Product Expansion at Gelato from January 2022 to April 2023 and Partner Engagement & Expansion Manager from May 2021 to January 2022.

Before joining Gelato, David worked at HP from September 2020 to May 2021 as an Operations Lead, responsible for the industrialization and delivery of HP 3D Metal Jet printers. David also served as a Product Engineer at HP from July 2016 to September 2020, where they were responsible for the industrialization of various subsystems of the HP 3D Multi Jet Fusion Printers.

David's work experience also includes a role as a Mechanical Engineering Manager at BQ from October 2015 to July 2016, where they managed the Mechanical Engineering department in China for the development of smartphones and tablets.

Prior to BQ, they worked at Nissan Motor Company as a Powertrain Engineer from October 2013 to October 2015. In this role, they were responsible for the NVH performance of the Renault R9M engine on Nissan applications, as well as benchmark activities to monitor the NVH performance of European market vehicles.

David's earliest work experience was as a Mechanical Designer in an internship at Tetra Pak from June 2012 to August 2012, where they were involved in the design of beverage processing equipment using 3D design tools.

David Echevarría López has a diverse education history. David completed an Executive MBA at IESE Business School from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, spanning from 2008 to 2013. In 2015 to 2017, they pursued an MSc in Economics with a focus on Industrial and Service Economy at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. David also studied Industrial Engineering at HELMo in 2013 and Chalmers University of Technology in 2011 to 2012. David completed their high school education at HRHEG High School in the United States (2007-2008) and San Ignacio School in Oviedo, Spain (2006-2007). Additionally, David obtained certification in TOEFL iBT 105 in 2018 from The TOEFL® test.
