Derek Cutler, MSEM

Derek Cutler has extensive work experience in various roles within the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Derek is currently the Director of Commercial Operations at Gelesis. Prior to this, they worked at MicroVision, Inc. as the Director of Operations from 2018 to 2020. Derek also served as the Engineering Project Lead at Anika Therapeutics, Inc. from 2014 to 2018. In addition, Derek has experience at LeMaitre Vascular as a Production Manager and Manufacturing Engineer, at Covidien as an R&D Design Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer, at Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Production Supervisor, at DePuy Orthopaedics as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op, and at Tiffany & Co. as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern.

Derek Cutler, MSEM, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Derek attended Wentworth from 2002 to 2005. Furthermore, Derek pursued their higher education at Tufts University - Gordon Institute, earning a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from 2010 to 2013.
