Alex Patist

Alex Patist has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. In 2020, Alex served as the Chief Operating Officer at Geltor Inc., where they were responsible for leading product/process R&D and executing the manufacturing strategy for bio-designed proteins. They also handled a range of responsibilities including fermentation, process development, tech transfer, and supply chain management.

Throughout 2020, Alex also worked as an advisor for multiple companies including Curie Co, Carbo Culture, one • five, Huue, and ZymoChem. In these roles, they provided guidance and expertise to support the growth and development of these organizations.

They served as the Director of Technology, where they led a joint development effort resulting in the successful launch of a new sweetener ahead of the competition. They also built and directed a technology organization and developed an IP and regulatory strategy for the company. Earlier in their career at Cargill, Alex held positions as Principal Engineer and Sr. Research Engineer.

Subsequently, from 1995 to 1999, Alex attended the University of Florida, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering.
