Mike Lafreniere

Mike LaFreniere is an experienced professional in nuclear safety and operational readiness, currently serving as Readiness Leader at GEM Technologies, Inc., where responsibilities include supporting the startup and restart of nuclear facilities at the Y-12 National Security Complex since July 2021. Prior roles include Sr. Project Manager at Atkins, Nuclear Safety and Operational Readiness Specialist at TFE, Inc., and Nuclear Safety/Performance Improvement at Strata-G. Mike has also held positions as a Proposal and Contract Baseline Writer at CRC Technologies, Inc., Nuclear Safety Specialist at CALIBRE Systems, and Physical Scientist for the U.S. Department of Energy. Serving as a Commissioned Officer in the US Navy before transitioning to the civilian sector, Mike LaFreniere holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University, specializing in National Security Affairs.
