Patrick van Domburg

Patrick Van Domburg is an accomplished professional with extensive leadership experience in various organizations. As of April 2022, Patrick serves as the Voorzitter of Vereniging Nederlandse Vestingsteden and Stichting Utrechtse Kastelen. Since September 2015, Patrick has held the role of Burgemeester for Gemeente IJsselstein. Additionally, Patrick leads as Voorzitter of the Centraal College van Deskundigen Archeologie at SIKB since January 2021. Patrick has been Vice-voorzitter for the Cultuurfonds in the Utrecht department since December 2016 and previously chaired the Gebruikersvereniging Centric until November 2023. Patrick's past involvement includes serving as a member of the Commissie Informatiesamenleving at VNG and providing expert advice on safety and justice issues for the VVD Partijcommissie Veiligheid en Justitie. Patrick also held the position of Ambassadeur for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate in 2015 and participated on the board of the Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland in 2015. Patrick Van Domburg earned a Meester in de rechten with a focus on criminal law and civil law from Leiden University (1988-1994).
