Heleen Vis

Heleen Vis is a skilled beleidsmedewerker with a focus on sport, community centers, and urban, village, and district councils at Gemeente Schouwen-Duiveland since August 2021. Previously, Heleen served as a beleidsadviseur and junior beleidsadviseur in the sociaal domein at Gemeente Sluis from September 2017 to June 2021. Heleen has leadership experience from Vlaamsch Broodhuys and contributed as a student researcher with UNICEF, conducting qualitative research on violence against girls in Burundi, which informed a master's thesis. Heleen holds a Master’s degree in International Development Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology, both from the University of Amsterdam, and completed VWO at Ostrea Lyceum Goes.
