Laura de Graaf has had a varied work experience. In 2006, they worked as an Employee Fastfood at McDonald's Nederland. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as an Administrative Employee at NCOD, where they handled personnel administration, salary transactions, and provided general support to management. In 2008, they also briefly worked as a Travel Advisor at D-Reizen. From 2011 to 2014, they served as a Council Member at KNHS. In 2015, they worked as a Helpdesk Employee at KPN. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as the QHSE Manager at Data B. Mailservice B.V., where they were responsible for quality, health and safety, environmental policies, information security, and privacy. Laura also managed various management systems and was involved in activities such as tenders, change management, incident management, and projects. Since June 2018, they have been working as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Gemeente Súdwest-Fryslân.

Laura de Graaf began their education in 2011 at Hogeschool van Utrecht, where they obtained a Propedeuse degree in Primary school teaching in 2014. In 2017, they also pursued a field of study in QHSE Management at V-Kam Education for one year. Afterwards, in 2018, Laura attended IT Academy Noord Nederland to study as a Security Officer, completing their education in 2019.
