Henk Spijk

Henk Spijk is a seasoned managerial professional with extensive experience in public administration. Currently serving as the Manager of the Department of Space at Gemeente Twenterand since November 2016, Henk oversees various teams, including Service Delivery, Realization, Exploitation Management, Outdoor Services, and Environment, also holding a membership on the municipal management team. Previously, Henk held the role of Clustermanager at Gemeente Enschede from February 2001 to August 2014, managing a division of 380 employees across seven departments and facilitating partnerships with multiple stakeholders. Additional roles include Manager of Public Space and Interim Manager for Outdoor Services and Exploitation Management. Henk's career began at Gak Nederland, where Henk served as Implementatiemanager for the Center for Work and Income. Henk holds a Master's degree in Private Law, Public Law, Social Security Law, and Business Law from the University of Groningen and an academic diploma from Jacobus College Enschede.
