Prior to that, they attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1992 to 1994, where they studied Drama/Theatre Arts and Stagecraft. Kim also earned a High School Diploma in Basic Fundamentals from DeSoto High School in 1990. In addition to their formal education, Kim has obtained various certifications on platforms such as LinkedIn, including courses on remote working, virtual meetings, stress management, and productivity. Kim has also completed training in Excel and HR as a business partner.
