Akifa Ijaz

Akifa Ijaz currently serves as the Head of the English Department at GEMS Education, a position held since July 2021. Previously, Akifa held the same role at Al Sadiq Islamic English School from August 2020 to July 2021 and was a First Language English Instructor at GEMS Education from August 2017 to July 2020. Akifa's teaching career began as an ESL and FLE instructor at The Oxford School in Dubai, where employment occurred from August 2015 to June 2017. Prior to this, Akifa served as a School Coordinator and Teacher at Beaconhouse School System from January 2011 to July 2015, and taught at Keynesian Institute of Management & Sciences and Garrison Academy for Boys between August 2009 and January 2011. Akifa holds an MPhil in Teaching of English as a Second Language from Beaconhouse National University and a Master's degree in English Language and Literature from Government College University, Lahore.
