Tom F. Wright

Tom F. Wright serves as the Head of the English Department and a Reader in Rhetoric at the University of Sussex since 2012, also holding the position of Senior Lecturer in English. Academic involvement includes serving as a Professeur Invité at Université de Paris and as a Visiting Professor at Shanghai University. Previous roles include Visiting Fellow at Northwestern University, Lecturer in American Studies at the University of East Anglia, and Lecturer in American Literature at the University of Oxford. Additionally, Tom F. Wright contributed as a Research Fellow at The University of Edinburgh and Boston Athenæum, and gained teaching experience as an English Second Language Teacher at EF English First. Educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, a Kennedy Scholarship from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from UCL.
