Rory Courlander

Rory Courlander is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Assistant Principal of High School at GEMS Education since June 2024, while also founding CORElander Coaching to provide transformative leadership and personal coaching services. Rory has been with GEMS Dubai American Academy since August 2017 in various roles, including Teaching and Learning Coach K-12, IB Psychology Teacher, and Grade Level Advisor/Head of Grade. Previous experience includes serving as an IB Psychology Tutor at Oxford Study Courses and as Head of Psychology at Nord Anglia Education. Rory began a career in education as a Psychology Teacher at Coleg Llandrillo, teaching A-level, IB, and GCSE Psychology. Rory holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Teaching Psychology from the University of South Wales and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bangor University.
