Marta Lacoma Rubio

Marta Lacoma Rubio is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching Spanish, English, and Catalan across various age groups and educational settings. Currently serving as an IB Spanish Teacher at GEMS International School since January 2022, Marta previously worked at the Departament d'Ensenyament as a Spanish Teacher and Class Teacher, where responsibilities included curriculum planning, activity preparation, and student assessments. With teaching experience at institutions such as Fluent City, Las Lilas School, ESSEC Business School, Speakeasy BCN, and Kids&Us, Marta has developed expertise in language instruction, cultural promotion, and student support. Marta holds a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Universidad de Alcalá, a Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Primary Education from the University of Eastern Finland, and a Bachelor's degree in Primary Education from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
