Karen Nyborg

Karen Nyborg is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Assistant Principal for Secondary - Curriculum, Assessment, and Progress at GEMS World Academy in Dubai since December 2020. Previously, Karen held the position of Deputy Head of Secondary at Collegiate American School, where a 100% pass rate for the IB Diploma Programme was achieved. With a strong background in curriculum delivery for various educational frameworks including IB and US Common Core, Karen has contributed significantly in roles such as Social Studies Head of Department and EAL Teacher across several institutions, focusing on student outcomes and pastoral care. Karen holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Leadership and has multiple degrees from the University of New Brunswick, including a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Development Studies.
