Matt Tharp

Matt Tharp's work experience includes serving as the Director of Portfolio Operations at Gemspring Capital starting in 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Vista Consulting Group from 2019 to 2021, where they held the role of Vice President - Fusion Risk Management and later as a Value Creation Director. At Vista Consulting Group, they worked closely with the C-suite to develop and execute key initiatives for several platform companies. Before their time at Vista Consulting Group, Matt held positions at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager and Associate from 2017 to 2019. Matt also worked as an Account Executive at Counsyl from 2016 to 2017 and as a Sales Consultant at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2014 to 2016. Matt started their professional career in the United States Marine Corps as a Captain - Assault Amphibian Officer from 2010 to 2014.

Matt Tharp completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus in Strategic Management from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2010.
