Lei Sun

Lei Sun has an extensive background in biosciences and chemistry, currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at GeneMind Biosciences since December 2018. Prior roles include Head of Chemistry at Element Biosciences and various positions at Pacific Biosciences, where Lei Sun contributed significantly to the development of the SMRT sequencing system, improving sequencing throughput and assay development. Previous experience encompasses leadership in nanoparticle research at Intel, DNA biochip fabrication at Motorola, and R&D at Amersham Biosciences, emphasized by a strong educational foundation with a Master's degree in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor's degree in Material Science from the University of Science and Technology of China.
