Amir Emadzadeh

Amir Emadzadeh is a highly experienced technology leader currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Genentech since March 2023. Prior to this role, Amir worked as an Adjunct Professor at California Science and Technology University, where a new course on Machine Learning Fundamentals was founded and taught. Additionally, Amir held the position of Director of Data Science at Gilead Sciences, focusing on the application of AI and machine learning techniques in the pharmaceutical industry, alongside previous roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Waymo and NVIDIA, both centered on self-driving car positioning. Amir's technical expertise is supported by a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, alongside master's and bachelor's degrees from Sharif University of Technology and Isfahan University of Technology, respectively.
