Genet Zemede

Genet Zemede is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in analytical development and technical management within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Scientist at Genentech, Genet previously held leadership positions at Carmot Therapeutics, Inc., where responsibilities included managing multiple CMC programs and ensuring compliance with ICH guidelines and FDA regulations. With a career spanning over two decades, Genet's experience encompasses roles at Protagonist Therapeutics, Affymax Inc., and Molecular Medicine Research Institute, focusing on peptide and small molecule programs, analytical chemistry, and CMC processes. Genet holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry from San Jose State University, as well as an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Chemistry from De Anza College.
