Jessica Klein is a Senior Scientist at Genentech, specializing in gastrointestinal organoid models since July 2022. Previously, Jessica served as a Scientist in the same field within the company. Before Genentech, Jessica was involved in academia as a Course Facilitator for medical students at Stanford University School of Medicine and conducted postdoctoral research on Helicobacter pylori interactions with the gastric epithelium. Jessica’s research journey includes a PhD candidacy at Washington State University, focusing on Salmonella invasion mechanisms, as well as various research roles at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Seattle Children's, where projects ranged from nanoparticle toxicity to MRSA vaccine development. Jessica holds a PhD in Immunology and Infectious Diseases from Washington State University and a BS in Microbiology from the University of Washington.
